The additional element you need for luck
Mar 17, 2025
Hey lucky one!
Have you seen the trend on social media that’s been going around for a few years?
Lucky Girl Syndrome?
(Guys and non-binary folks, I see you. Please add in Lucky Guy or Lucky Person Syndrome or whatever feels right to you. <3)
It’s the idea that if you keep repeating “Everything works out for me” or “I’m so lucky!” … that things WILL indeed work out for you.
Period.
If you’re into positive affirmations and manifestations, you will probably jive with this concept.
I often do.
But what about the days and times when things just aren’t going your way?
What about the folks who are in situations that aren’t as privileged?
What the heck do you do then?
Well, there’s a new concept I’ve been trying that I’m loving.
It’s called WOOP.
Have you heard of it?
It stands for:
W - Wish
O - Outcome
O - Obstacle << (this is the magical bit, stay with me, I’ll explain)
P - Plan
The concept is that positive thinking can get you part of the way to fulfilling your dreams, but there will undoubtedly be obstacles.
Internal or external obstacles.
And you’re more likely to succeed IF you have a way to manage the obstacles ahead of time.
Here’s a WOOP example.
I’ll use building a meditation habit since I just started teaching my live course and it’s on my mind.
Wish: I’d like to start meditating every day
Outcome: I’d like to practice regularly enough that I can connect with my spirit guides (woo hoo!)
Obstacles: I make excuses about not having enough time or not doing it right
Plan: I know if I hit an obstacle that I can use the different meditation techniques I’m learning and reward myself with a treat when I make it 30 days
See how that works?
WOOP!
It’s such an incredible tool because it takes into account our humanness.
You can read the science and watch the creator in action talking more about WOOP here. It’s pretty cool.
I consider myself to be a very positive person and I still have my days when I just can’t find the silver lining (in ANything).
I need a plan for those days so I don’t let my big emotions consume me (and take me off track).
Can you relate?
Mmmhm. I thought so.
So… keep the positive thinking going AND add in the contingency plan for the days when you feel off your game.
It’ll make a huge difference and maybe even change your luck! ; )
Speaking of meditation, if you missed the live course, you can start the self paced course and still be done in time for the next level (Intuitive Rockstar) coming this spring!

Sending you so much luck this week!
