The map of your loved ones

I'll tell you what...

Being a new medium is like learning to tune a spiritual radio and then figuring out how to make sense of the information you’re receiving.

I’ve been getting spirit communication for a long time, I just didn’t understand that’s what was coming in.

I’m still a newbie in communicating with loved ones, but I’ve started training with a mentor and she taught me about a map.

She doesn’t call it a map, but that’s how it makes sense to me.

The map is a way to look at the loved ones in your life who have passed over and then to see which ones want to connect.

My job is to reach out and connect with these loved ones with my heart and invite them into my energetic space to share their messages.

Let me tell you how it went with a reading I did recently.

I read for a woman named Alexis. (not her real name)

When I looked at her map I immediately saw her grandmother on her mother’s side glowing bright.

I asked her to come forward. Alexis confirmed that her maternal grandmother always seemed to show up in her readings.

When a loved one comes through again and again in mediumship readings, it's my current understanding that they are an active part of your Spirit Team — at least at this point in your life.

One of the first things I’m learning to ask a Spirit who comes through is how they passed over.

This is an important question because it’s so helpful in validating who a spirit is because it’s usually pretty specific.

For Alexis’ grandmother, I felt pain and a heavy tightness in my heart and kept hearing the words “old age… old age… ” I told Alexis that I was confused because I couldn’t tell if her grandmother had passed from heart issues or old age.

Alexis confirmed that she had heart issues, but eventually died of old age. (and there you go... )

I then asked her grandmother what she was like when she was alive.

I immediately saw a stylish woman with a hand on her hip, a pleated skirt, and a bob haircut twirling and dipping her chin over her shoulder to smile at me.

I interpreted this as her being stylish, fashionable, and kind of playful and flirtatious.

Alexis confirmed that her grandmother was indeed stylish, that she always looked pulled together, well-dressed, well-coiffed, and smiled and laughed a lot.

I asked what she had done for work.

Her grandmother flashed a picture of her in a kitchen with an apron on.

I saw her standing and using a spoon to stir something in a mixing bowl.

I got this information to infer that she was a homemaker.

And it should be noted that I got this only partly correct.

Spirit connection is an ongoing study in discernment.

Alexis said that her grandmother had always wanted to be a better cook, but she wasn’t when she was alive.

Spirits continue their soul's evolution on the other side so this image I got could have meant that she was learning how to cook now because she’d never gotten to do that in her three-dimensional form.

I'm only realizing that looking back on it now.

I am still learning after all.

Since I’d gotten enough validation that this was indeed her grandmother, I asked her grandmother what message she had for Alexis.

I should note that I knew that Alexis had a specific question for her grandmother, but I didn’t ask her what the question was. It took a minute for me to get the answer, but then her grandmother almost blurted out “She’s a writer!”

Alexis told me that her question for her grandmother was what should I be doing with my life.

(I can't tell you how much I love these moments.)

Alexis also confirmed that she is indeed a writer and that she’d been struggling with writer's block.

She loved this message and felt like she’d gotten the confirmation she came into the session hoping to receive.

Here's the thing about these maps: I need more practice.

That's where you come in.

I’m looking for ten people to let me do mini-sessions where I read the map of their loved ones.

This option would be a perfect fit for you if:

• You're curious to connect with the other side

• You want to see who from the other side wants to come forward

• You're open to messages from loved ones

• You sense that a loved one has been hanging around

• You consider yourself patient and willing to be in the process

These sessions are thirty minutes and $50 and you come into it knowing that this is training work for me that could also be of great benefit to you.

This isn’t channeling work about career or relationships or health or your Divine path — it’s purely to work on connecting with loved ones who have passed over.

I say this to everyone who works with me: I don’t have any control over who comes through.

I show up and do my best to communicate what I see and hear, but I don’t fabricate a connection because there is a desire for connection.

That’s not ethical in my book.

My job is to be a neutral channel and not a people pleaser.

It’s a tough line to walk as a business owner in this country, but that’s why I work extra hard to be clear about expectations before I work with someone.

Transparency and integrity and authenticity are paramount to me in this work (and in life).
