3 reasons why a big transformation is so hard
Aug 15, 2024Hello lovey,
We’re talking about transformation today because that is what people come to me for: they’re tired of being in the same frustrating loop and they want CHANGE.
They also know that they’ve been trying to do it alone—for too long—and they need help.
And it’s true!
Transformation is freaking HARD when you’re on your own!
Let’s talk about why.
(see if you recognize yourself in any of these)
- Transforming your life on your own is hard because you can’t see yourself objectively. How do you know when you’re overthinking? How do you know what to move forward or to pause for a moment? How do you know if you’re in a familiar pattern if you can’t tell that you even have a familiar pattern? You NEED someone to be outside of your head to witness what’s going and tell you to chill out or keep going or double down. Anyone who wants to achieve any big change in their life gets support. Period.
- Transforming your life on your own is hard because your mind and body are wired for safety and safety often looks like keeping things exactly the same. In order for some aspect of your life to be different, YOU have to be different and that means breaking the patterns of your daily life, acting differently, surprising yourself with unpredictable ways of functioning. When you’re on your own, your brain can trick yourself into thinking that your life can change while you stay the same. But it doesn’t work that way. You need to be different and that can be a challenging venture to sustain on your own.
- Transforming your life on your own is hard because it can be hard to hold a bigger vision for our lives AND make the daily changes necessary to reach that vision. Let’s be real here—adulting, on its own—is WORK. Add in the idea that you want to completely change some big aspect of your life in addition to doing all the things to take care of yourself, your family, your work, your health… good grief. It can feel like a massive undertaking. When you’re working with someone who holds that bigger vision with you, you can come back to that person and say, “OMG. Help! I’ve had such a day… … Why am I doing this again? Why did I say I wanted to do this in the first place??” And they’ll tell you and help you get right back on track. We need support when making a transformation. We just do.
So stop for a moment and look at your life.
Have you been trying to do this on your own?
Have you been trying to change your life without changing your identity?
Have you been attempting to change for year or longer without extensive support?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are the perfect candidate for Emotion Code® work.

In the west, we are so conditioned to think that we are supposed to do everything on our own, but if you look at anyone who’s accomplished anything great in their life, they’ve had support in the form of…
A spouse.
Friends.
Family.
A mentor.
A teacher.
A coach.
A healer.
And most often? ALL of these and often more than one of each.
So what if you stopped trying to do it all on your own and leaned into the reality that you’ll have your transformation faster and with more ease, when you get help. <3
I’d love to help you along that journey (since transformation is what I do with all of my offerings).
Let’s talk about your transformation, what you’ve done so far, where you’re stuck and where you want to be in a year.
It’s absolutely possible if you’re ready and committed. 🙂
